What to Expect from Amazon Haul Low Prices Across Multiple Categories
Amazon Haul offers a wide selection of products, all priced under $20. Some items such as cosmetic accessories or kitchen supplies are available for as little as $1.
This marks a significant shift for Amazon, which until now has focused on rapid delivery times rather than extremely low prices.
Simple Shopping Experience
Amazon has adapted the platform to function independently with its own search, basket and payment process. Orders over $25 even qualify for free delivery. Delivery takes a standard one to two weeks.
Compared to the usual delivery times Amazon customers are accustomed to, this is relatively long. This model resembles the logistics strategy of Temu and Shein – their customers are willing to wait longer for cheaper products.
The A-to-Z guarantee from Amazon, which provides customers with security in case of product or delivery issues, continues to protect all Haul items.
Bulk Order Discounts
Customers making larger purchases on Haul will receive additional discounts. Orders of $50 or more get a 5% discount, whilst purchases over $75 receive 10% off.
Returns and Refunds Policy
Amazon Haul has return policies adapted to its low-price model. Items over $3 can be returned free of charge within 15 days at any of numerous collection points, including Whole Foods, Amazon Lockers or UPS locations.
Items priced at $3 or less cannot be returned, to maintain low operating costs, similar to the policies of other discount retailers.
Amazon states that all items available through Haul meet strict safety and quality standards, with each product being checked for compliance with applicable regulations.
Response to Growing Competition from Discount Retailers
The launch of Amazon Haul is a direct response to the growth of Chinese competition, such as Temu and Shein, which have disrupted the market through direct imports from China and liquidation prices. With Haul, Amazon is adopting similar cost-saving measures, including direct purchasing from Chinese manufacturers.
This approach allows Amazon to reduce prices and move closer to a lower-margin model, which has contributed to the success of new competitors.
